I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you most likely don't get along with many people at the race track do you.[/QUO
You know its amusing, how you all can call people names, come onto the thread and make a statement then run and say "I'm Done" It's kind of like hitting a girl and then running out of the room. What are you all cowards who can't back up their statements with facts. Oh wait your Republicans, you can't back it up and you are cowards. My Bad!
You would not last 2 seconds standing toe to toe with me, so be very carefull who you call a coward. When I said I was done means when you try to have a reasonable conversation with someone as ignorant as you, someone who doesn't know how to read and even understand what he's talking about it comes to a point it's a waist of time. Most if not all are maters on here you can have different opinions but still have a constructive conversation. I even question why you come on here, its suppose to be about Drag Racing and sometimes other racing not sure if you even know what Drag Racing is about. Get a life !

The Election is over. The people have spoken. It's time to get back to the important business discussing the relative merits of the Countdown Format, If Force will get enough sponsor dollars to compete at the highest levels, If Dave Connolly will find success in Top Fuel, and what's really wrong with Pro Stock.

Jesse, where in the title does it say this is a get out and vote thread? It says November 4, 2014. I was commenting on the cluster ">?K that happened on November 4th. And just for the record its not part of my political agenda its facts.

Republicans want to go to war. History has shown that. They want to control a woman's rights, History has shown that also. They want no gun controls. They HATE Obama because hes black. They want to go back to a failed economy as was the economy under George Bush. Republicans never say they were wrong or take the blame for anything its always someone else's fault. So I was just stating facts. I'm sure you can understand that or are you just going to blame someone else?

However if this is "Just a get out and vote thread" then perhaps it too should have been in a political forum. November 4th had very little to do with NHRA, but hey you put it there.

While I hate both parties, I get annoyed at kool-aid drinkers on both sides. Use real facts.

Woodrow Wilson Dem WW1
FDR Dem WW2
Truman Dem Korean War
Vietnam is a little trickier. Do you go with Eisenhower for the "advisors" or Kennedy for the mass escalation? Call it a draw
Bush the First- Rep Iraq 1
Clinton- Dem Random bombings
Bush the second- Rep Iraq the sequel and Afghanistan

Looks like a pretty even affair in the war business. Dems 4.5 Rep 3.5

Now I suppose we can get picky and start pulling other events like Bay of Pigs, Libya and such up but that just gets tedious.

No doubt the economy tanked under Bush after rolling good under Clinton but when does a lack of a fix become Obama's fault? I get the first year or two still trying to pull out of the nose dive but 6 years in and......what? The biggest boost to the unemployment mark has been the change in the ruling/definition as to what qualifies as unemployed. The number of people who have just given up and stopped looking(they no longer count as unemployed then) has been the only real boost to the number.

Oh the women and race card. What was Lincoln? Didn't he make some proclamation? How bout them southern Dems who spent years with Jim Crow laws and such. Sure ancient history I know. Let's be honest, if the Dems really wanted to help they would. Instead they say they help but really only keep people locked where they are, this way they are dependent on them for that help and, more importantly, it builds in votes for they are the "heroes". Really it's a great marketing plan. Now this is not to say that I defend the Rep record on this manner either. To be truthful, the parties do not give a damn about you, me, her, him , shim, color, race, height, weight more then what they can do to keep themselves in power over the other guy.

And I feel dirty only going after one party so please someone spread junk from the other side. :)

and as requested I will move to politics forum

crap, glitch right now and I can't move it. Once cleared I will

PJ I think that's the right thing to do, but where is the political forum, I've ask Shannon with no response so for now I can only assume you can only get on by invitation only or it's a fantasy and doesn't really exist.

Oh you forgot to mention they doubled out debt to 18 trillion in the last 6 years, just thought I'd mention that.

Good Day !

Not sure, we used to have one but I can't see it either. Checking into, I suppose at minimum I should move it to the lounge.

The debt is a BS blame game. Both sides are equally to blame for not only screwing it up but for kicking the can down the road on any fixes. It rose a ton under Bush as well.

Here in Illinois, the state with the worst budget deficit in the nation, the two candidates in the gubernatorial election spent a whopping $96 million (Governor elect Bruce Rauner spent $26 million of his own money) to get elected. Maybe it's me, but I'm sensing a bit of a disconnect with political system as it currently exists.

hmmm lets see, spend $26million for a job that pays around $200k??? Not sure where that makes any financial sense, unless of course they know that they can make that back somewhere along the line. Just one more thing that needs to be fixed

That and the fact that they aren't playing with their own money, either to get elected or to fund all those special projects they like to tell us are "helping."
