Not quite a spoiler but kinda.

How often has Connie had 2 dragsters in a final? It allowed him to lean on both cars and have a unforgettable dead heat finish.....1st ever for Top Fuel

Congrats to my pick Dougie on getting the holeshot!

I have never been a fan of multi car teams in any form of racing for many different reasons.
There is always the lingering question of did one driver let the other win. How many times have we seen this happen?

Right now in many of the Pro Classes you have multi car teams and yet the 16 cars fields are not always full. Just image if one multi car team lost sponsorship and had to drop out we would be looking at much smaller fields.

Having multi car teams sharing information does not make it easy for any independent team to compete against.
Creating a level playing field at least encourages New teams to enter drag racing.

Sponsorship is another area where I believe multi car teams have an edge and can offer sponsors more money for their investment dollars.

Just my opinion. Jim Hill

I didn't mean this as taking a shot at multi car teams or individuals/owners of any team. Trust me, being originally from MI, I'm a big fan of the Kalitta organization and always happy to see them get a win. To me, from a fan standpoint, it's just "less exciting" when this happens. Heck, Torrence & Brittany Force are on separate teams. I have no bad words for either team. But the fact that AJ is tuning/consulting on both would make that final round matchup less exciting for me. Even a final between 2 multi car teams is better. Throw in a single car team & it's even better yet. To clarify, I wasn't being critical of any team or teams in particular. I was just stating my opinion & wondering if anyone shared my thoughts.

Only when the cars say "Summit" on the doors , pro stock totally sucks this year.
Admittedly, Pro Stock has been incredibly predictable this year largely because the Summit boys were smart and went out and hired an EFI specialist. That's not to say the other teams haven't done the same, it's just that Greg & Jason seem to have benefitted more from having Bo aboard than any of the other cars... so far.

But this had to be expected, no? People on this message board have been screaming for years that it was stupid to have carburetors on Pro "Stock" cars when a car hasn't rolled off the showroom floor in over a decade with a carburetor atop the manifold. So NHRA finally draws a line in the sand and now we're complaining that the fields are short and incredibly uneven because everyone not in the Summit camp is struggling. And before someone argues that they should've had a grandfathered approach, I would suggest you tune in and listen to Greg talk about the 50 HP that's still in the motor, they just haven't figured out how to get to it again. Would anyone in their right mind race EFI against a carbureted car knowing they were down by at least 50 HP? No way. Add weight to the non-EFI cars you say? Still, at some point everyone is going to have to figure out EFI and if even half the field waited to make the transition, eventually the grandfather clause would end and everyone would be on EFI... and you'd have a few cars who are dominating while the rest play catch up.

NHRA ripped the Band-Aid off and it'll be a while before we see parity in PS again, but they will all figure it out eventually & then we'll have to find something else to complain about.

Bob, remind me, when was the last time Connie didn't lean on a car? ;)

I'm sure there was a questionable surface or extreme heat or something somewhere where any tuner would hold back a little, but I just meant BOTH cars got his (and their crewchief's) special "touch" since it was already won.

Remember when it was called " tip the can", or better yet "the can, the lid , and the label.....everything in the tank"
