I watch NHRA.tv all weekend every race weekend and there are minor issues here and there but I think the overall broadcast is pretty good. I personally like it. Without fifteen powered subwoofers you aren’t duplicating the sound of fuel cars, and even then…
Obviously this is just an opinion of a goofball on the internet so let’s not get too crazy.

I could D/L the video if I wanted - I streamed it ~ anywhere from 360p to 1080p and the cars & such are "typical" (not great) but the audio on voice-overs are horrible, it appears to be something wrong with the AGC on the mixing, and at times was more tolerable than other times - some popping at times too.
FWIW - the same audio issue is present on the PM session that streamed afterward.

I'm not going to grab a sound byte & have google chasing me down to prove a point, but I am not the only one hearing it.
I also don't take offense to myself being referred to a goofball either.
I agreed earlier we should stay ON POINT for the sake of the thread, and leave any pi$$in' matches to the social media sites...

I think Jim Head doing guest commentary was outstanding in all sorts of ways, knowledged and experienced to the max, well spoken and very entertaining. Best one yet this season AFAIC.
Terry Hines is also very very very good for PSM but yesterday he was completely overrun by the regulars which was disrespectful and not at all a good show. Terry and Alan Reinhart was the best pair ever for PSM. They were naturals together and matched each other perfectly. The Dry Bar Comedy one liners and good natured ribbing were as good as Terry's expertise and they did none of the current 100% voice coverage. I claim The Terry & Alan Show did PSM a lot of good every time they paired up.

Watched on .TV (Q1) and You Tube (Apple TV refused my password for Q2 on .TV)
Sound was horrendous on both, with Lohnes and Joe mixed louder than the cars, no idea why NHRA cannot make a simple audio fix. Maybe check with Clay or Monday Morning Racer? They have the ability to mix audio?
Jim Head interview was great, made the rain delay worth it!

I watched the YouTube feed and I did have a sound issue. During some of Galvin's starting line/staging lane stuff I could not hear the person he was interviewing at all. Jon-O and Rob Flynn come to mind.

Having Jim Head in the booth was great. The dude is an encyclopedia of nitro knowledge, the type of dude that makes you smarter just by being near him, and everyone seems to love him at the track.

I still have a nhra.tv acct and tried to login yesterday which was successful but when i clicked on it,it wanted me to pay,no free preview. So i couldnt tell ya if it was just a youtube thing? glad some1 came on here and had the same issue i had,certain people on here think i bitch just to bitch but thats not the case. Last week i was on here saying how good ihra sounded compared to nhratv.

A few years ago, Jim Head was inducted into Garlits' International Drag Racing Hall of Fame. His speech was very interesting. Not what I would have expected for some reason, as he came across as a real soft-spoken and modest guy. He really loves drag racing, which should be evident in that he is still out there after all these years, essentially running out of his own (well-funded) pocket. I would think you could still find his acceptance speech on Youtube.
I would have really enjoyed hearing his color commentary yesterday in Norwalk. I wonder if there is a recording of it somewhere?
