I was at the race this weekend and it’s one I will remember for a long time. Maddi winning along with her dad and Capps was special. Quick Maddi story that flew under the radar this weekend. First round of TAFC on Saturday night. Phil Esz was running Jim Whitley. Esz did a burnout and was unable to back up. Esz’s backup girl was attempting to push him back and one safety safari member was helping. Maddi was on the starting line watching the action (Doug ran two pairs earlier), sprinted down the track to help push Phil Esz back so he could make the run. She jumped into to help when another competitor was in need.

Major brain lapse on my part of course I've been close to PSM in Europe and the US for years and still am. On your one-liners, one from PSM sticks in my mind. Chase van Sant is on the starting line - "his initials are CVS so his time slip is four'n a half feet long" delivered in a casual as-a-matter-of fact tone. Could be only me of course but I thought that was funny. Good comedic timing too, it took a .2 RT to get the joke.

There is a reason it’s called a blanket and not a diaper. Due to components like the anti-rotation device and other things, there are holes in the blanket that prevent it from being a good ‘diaper’. It will contain some fluid, and it does a good job of not letting it spray all over the place, but can’t contain it all.

Could be a good opportunity for a product developer for some company to make one better and a new potential sponsor.

He might be, Jeremy. I'm not even sure he's out at Head. Just saying, if that's the case it might prove to be the reason. Jim Head doesn't strike me as a man who puts up with jicky antics from anybody.

The audio problem I've experienced was at the track yesterday, during the first round of pro eliminations. Non.Stop.Yak. from the booth. Was quite terrible. Reminded me of the Henry Phillips song.

Didn't seem as bad in later rounds but man, sometimes the less said the better. If this is what folks have been bringing up about NHRA.TV, etc, yep they are right. I'd never pay for that nor accept a free subby to listen to non-stop-yak, maybe half of which was relevant.

It was really cool seeing the Greek stop by Beckman's pit yesterday morning, then Force coming out to see him too. There was a few, maybe 3 or 4 fans that Beckman invited to step on the other side of the rope for pics with them. Very gracious and generous.

Force, though, didn't seem as talkative with the fans as in the past. Sad to see honestly, knowing that things have changed.

Id love it ig nhratv would give you the option of having to hear an announcer or just hear cars and see graphics for ets,speed etc. Oh i can dream lol
