No April Fool?

Hate to see them go, Tim has always called it like it was so maybe somebody didn't like it. I was really glad when they came back but their exit to me seemed a little premature. These teams are acting like they are already in the countdown. Hagen having problems as well as the Al Anabi team, but I will bet you any thing they will be in the thick of things come the countdown, which changes eveything I mean look at the NY Giants early in the season, anything can happen, and I sure hope that Tim and Kim left left because they wanted to and not got fired.

Under the caption from Greg Stanfield's Camaro it says that's the first round win in 20 years.. but the camaro was racing in the late 90's early 2000's.. 10 years maybe. Certainly not 20. Also the speculation on Antron's tire.. if you watch the ESPN2 footage, the tire came apart and threw chunks off of it after the 1,320 mark and the chutes were out.

And this applies to the topic how?

How about the assistant crew chief Terry Snyder? I'm sure he's no dope. Could this be his big break?

Rumor is the NAPA deal has performance clauses in it and the DNQ might have had a financial penalty.

Dave Rieff asked Shoe about it on the TV coverage. Don answered the only way he could; he was not going to discuss contract clauses.
Maybe the Richards had a performance clause in their employment contract with DSR and the NAPA contract had nothing to do with it.
Whatever the case, the deal is done.
It's time to move on and hope Capps' car does not DNQ again and goes deep in eliminations the rest of the season.

Rahn for Capps and Beckman? Hmm.. The Don said he didn't want to strain the talent pool and run it thin. CC'ing for two cars sounds like a full days work.

It seems odd to me that the Schumacher car with the most crew chief turnover is Capp's car. Could it be the driver is a little difficult to work with?

Now, now, now, Ron Capps is an angel.

Just another reason why I will never root for a DSR car again.

Big fan of Tim and Kim and rooted for them to succeed. Sorry to see them out.

Ron has tweeted that the Napa team isn't testing today and that there are some changes being made at DSR HQ, this week.

We'll see what happens.
From what I seen taking place in their pit yesterday, I think we all might be a little surprised at what we will see next from the Napa team. I'm sure Don will let us all know what is going on with that team as soon as they get it all figured out. Bernie, here is a list of the cars that I seen testing on Monday.

Spencer Massey tested some tires for Goodyear.
One of the Al-anabi dragsters ran some but packed up early and left.
Matt Hagen
John Force
Courtney Force
Brittany Force
Mike Neff went 4.04 at 320 mph

I think Robert Hight and Brittany Force are testing on Tuesday. But I don't know if anyone else is. I'm going to stay one more day and watch testing tomorrow before I head to Charlotte.

Although I can only judge from an outsider's point of view, I am gonna disagree. In the almost 10 years that I have been cheering for him, his teams, his crews, and sponsors, and hanging out at the pit's ropes, I haven't seen much to indicate "difficult to work with". But go see for yourself.

C'mon, man, that's not fair because no one is saying anyone is an angel.

Thanks, Eugene. This is definitely going to be a story to keep an eye on.

And what about that 3.96 from Brittany to be the quickest Force ever? Pretty cool.

Don't you think that if it were the driver that Don would remove him in an instant? Look at all that talent standing on the sidelines he has to chose from. The car you're tuning car doesn't qualify, you get your wrist slapped, you look at each other and say we don’t' need this let's go to Fiji.

What were the conditions like Eugene? That is a very stout pass - especially in the mph department.

Also congrats to you and the Bode team on a great showing - well done :)

Regards,

Mike
That was a very stout pass. I'm not sure what the temp was, but it was starting to cool down on the track because the sun had just dropped behind the grand stands, but it was still pretty windy. Today looks awesome, it will be between 70 and 75 with no wind. Thank's, we gave it our best shot.

whatever their plan of attack is, i've always wondered if densh's CC
greg ameral (sp?) is available to other teams based on gary's few select
races?..... incredible performances from his very part time team.

Always thought Kevin Poyntner{sp} could tune a fuel car.
Kurt Elliott?

Boy, That Cruz can tick off some numbers...
