NIL and NHRA

I've read recently where 45 states (WV and Ohio recently permitting ones) are going to allow a type of NIL (name image likeness) arrangement for high school students of all people. Similar to what is in place for the Division 1-A (aka FBS) in college football.

I among many believe that NIL will eventually collapse FBS football if some changes aren't made, and I can't see this going well at all for high school sports (if only because we're talking about minors, who really can't legally enter contracts). Not to mention the mix of private schools and public ones, and taxpayer money for public schools.

Question - The high school thing notwithstanding, would an NIL arrangement ever come into play for NHRA? Are there current agreements that would prohibit an NIL type structure in NHRA? A potential NIL arrangement I believe is the greatest threat to NHRA, looking at the dark potential it bodes for other sports.

What do you all think? Am curious as to the thoughts/concerns of others about this possibility.

edit - I think the player's associations in MLB, NBA, NFL, and NHL address this in their collective bargaining agreements.

NIL in the NHRA is just called sponsors? College and high school athletes have NIL deals in place because their schools are profiting off of their name, image, and likeness. They were never allowed to before. NHRA drivers are professionals, they don’t have an amateur status like other athletes. They’ve always been free to profit on themselves however they please.

The NHRA drivers used to sell their own merchandise but now it’s sold in officially licensed NHRA trailers or midway, at least it was when I went to the races. You know they get a cut of the profits.

Not unlike concerts where the venue makes a cut on the GROSS of merch sales (different percentages between "cotton" and "hard copies"...).
It's kind of 🐎💩, as the venue doesn't give the bands a cut of THEIR concessions or the parking, or help pay for the manufacturing or shipping of merch products, but I digress...

I would think the tracks do the same, get a cut of food vendor sales. Concerts, the venue probably operates the food services.

I was kind of alluding to something along that line, if the NHRA is profitting from the drivers' NIL would then the drivers want some of that too? Maybe, maybe not.

NIL as it currently exists will kill FBS college football, and extending it into the high school realm - insane.

You are correct- the venue/ Live Nation/ AEG are in charge of the concessions and rake in big bucks as they are the only game in town (you ever try to bring a cooler of beer into a football game? I rest my case...).
I believe that all the tracks independently run the food and parking concessions, while NHRA gets the soft goods and the seats. Maybe AR or Mike English can chime in to correct me if I'm wrong?
