Another Denver summer sports event axed! (Yet Bandimere stands tall!)
Not only has the Champ Car Denver Grand Prix recently been called off (supposedly due to lack of sponsorship).... The PGA Tour has just axed thier Denver stop for the same reason. This, considering NASCAR's Pikes Peak International Raceway is long gone...... is just another feather in the cap of John Bandimere & his family for not only keeping his track thriving.... but actually growing thier fan base in the area and drawing exceptional crowds to the Mile High Nationals. If people want a major sports event in Denver this summer.... you've got your choice between Arena Football or The MLB Colorado Rockies. If it's auto racing you're after....... NHRA is IT. I'm curious, is this trend happening in any other NHRA Powerade markets?
