Still waiting to see an announcement about seating at the U.S. Nationals. There would be no way to social distance in the reserved seats. I have my normal tickets but I can't imagine seating will be as in the past. Maybe go to all general admission again and refunds for difference between general admission and what you paid? Same for Gatornationals. Appears Dolphins are going to have fans at home opener at 25% capacity. Thus, Gators will have a capacity issue as well.

Hasn’t NHRA contacted you yet about the US Nationals seating? I heard that they were spreading out the seating so you might not get the seats you normally get. We have friends who sit in the TEC. I believe they got their seat assignments yesterday. I will need to double check.

I ordered my US Nationals tickets over the weekend and got my seat assignment about 2 hours after I ordered them. I am in section DD on Saturday and BB on Sunday.

would be great if 8 more races are held. NC and illinois (st. louis) would be the ones i would worry about. bristol, gators, and texas i think have a good chance.
if vegas happens and they are 'the finals', i hope that sticks and becomes the new norm for last race of year.

I have not heard anything since I received my normal seats a week or so ago. I am in Section A, the closest section to TEC.

for last quite a few years, vegas 2 and sema combine to form quite a weekend of automotive excellence in the town the doesn't sleep.
it's a natural destination. it's a natural for aftermarket companies. why not just make it the nhra finals......but not the 4 wide finals

Gainesville in September puts it smack-dab in the middle of Hurricane season.

Even without a hurricane, we are now in our rainy season here in Florida and every day brings some pretty big thunderstorms and lighting which makes the ground like a sponge.
Parking anywhere down in that grass area off of the paved road means you are in a wet swampy area.
For all the racers that have to park and pit down there, it becomes very hard.

Brian - There is no more general admission. You get what they give you. It's a lottery. If you want to sit with friends, you can't unless you order all at one time. That was straight from NHRA ticketing yesterday.

Maybe I am way off base saying this but it sounds to me that they must keep racing for financial reasons. I hope I am wrong about that.

Just heard that the Mello Yellow contract is void if there are not at least 11 races completed. If that is true - financial reasons are absolutely why they need at least 3 (4 counting the one that is not complete yet) more races. Even though they will get paid for number of races completed they would get Zero unless 11 were completed. It is to NHRA's advantage to run what they can to get the Primary sponsor's money even if there are no (or limited) spectators. Beside not meeting the terms of a contract, getting future contracts really hurts the chances of survival.
