I wonder if this new fee will include security for each banner to make sure it stays on the fence.![]()
You know this is really no different than the attitude many large companies have these days. The economy SUCKS and profits are down, so lets gouge our customers a little harder. Bank of America decides to add a fee to use your debit card to their already ridiculous list of fees, although a customer uprising seems to have stopped this for the moment. Got an email the other day that UPS has a class action law suit against them for gouging customers on their bills (I have fought them regularly on our weekly bill). And dont even get me started about the way "feeBay" sticks it up the sellers rears these days. When my income drops, I have to make adjustments. Why the hell does NHRA not understand this. It would serve them right if ALL their contingency sponsors left them high and dry. Only problem is that it would ultimately be one more big kick in the teeth for the guys supporting NHRA the most---the racers.![]()
thank you, i used to make alot of money on ebay, now i been questioning it as i still sell and make extra money but the extra is really being cut into. What ebay charges to list ok fine. Paypal are freaking crooks. With all the money they make every second, they do not need to really eat away the profits as much as they do. I paid at least 500.00 to paypal this year in there so called fees. Crooks! And the ebay gives the seller zero protection, it's bullshi... Someone could lie and get the money back and the seller gets no security because ebay only protects buyers.
as far as nhra they are really giving the bird to the contingency sponsors and then asking for them to come back. I bet there going to lose many, and i bet you nhra will have the ignorance to ask them why. Cut back the salaries. Dallas lol, 330,000. You could fund a return of the fc showdown at indy and still let him keep 90,000. The shootouts need to return. It's only 240,000 nhra could 1000% trim the fat without suffering. No one is gonna agree to a pay cut tho. If you ask me, not a soul working for the nhra deserves more than 200,000 a year and that's being nice. Let dan olson earn the most, he's the guy that has to be the tech master.
Then:I have no personal hatred for anyone.
So wtf?NO, Kyle Busch needs to stay AWAY from the nhra, I hate his guts and what he did friday night was inexcusable.
Here's another one:
Then:
So wtf?![]()
finally a real winner in the world of contradiction - in one post no less
example A) ebay are crooks - they take patrick's money - he is left
with less each year - questions his selling, profits being cut into.
underlying message:
DON'T TAKE ANY OF MY MONEY, YOU HAVE TOO MUCH ALREADY
example B) NHRA board make unjustifiable salaries - the unjustified
money should be better spent propping up the nat. event series.
underlying message:
TAKE THEIR MONEY, THEY HAVE WAY TOO MUCH ALREADY
Another great way to nickel and dime contingency sponsors for the NHRA...what do you think about this latest move? Monday morning should be interesting in Glendora don't you think?
i say they hang them on all of the adjacent fence lines leading up to the track property and watch graham light blow a gasket.

Registered member said:“Some of our sponsors who have a significant investment in the sport sometimes feel that a company can come in on a lesser degree of investment with a contingency program and have those bannering rights and for those sponsors, it’s a big tilt on the value equation,” Darcy explained.
Registered member said:According to a source close to the NHRA, leftover bannering has become a topic of conversation between the sanctioning body and the tracks. Some facilities have even threatened the sanctioning body with a fee for banner removal.
it's all relative patrick - i am not mocking you or anybody and i am not
being 'nosey'..... to coin an old phrase 'what is good for the goose is good for the gander'.
i'm sure you deserve a greater % of your profits from ebay, as do the
nhra board deserve to keep their salaries.
