Thanks Craig, I dont miss the slow manual rewind film days one bit. Hate to think how many shots we missed in the old days. I use a Nikon D200 with a 70-300 lens

That picture of Larry Dixon is the archetypal top fuel dragster ... chassis arched ... tires squared ... all 8 candles lit and flames are clean!!!

Great pics, thanks for sharing. Love the arc on Dixon's car, but also a good shot of Greek throwing a belt, look where his helmet is, you caught that one at just the right time. Good shot of Karen on the bike, man she is really tucked in tight.

Me too Jeff ... I have a HP Photosmart Digital camera ... the still image quality is good ... but action shots are very frustrating as the shutter speed is incredibly slow, and if you use the zoom at all, the shutter slows exponentially and I wind up missing most shots.

I have been dancing around with the idea of getting a nice D/SLR-type camera, but then again, it doesn't fit in my pocket, does it? Ultimately, if I can rectify lugging that big piece of equipment around with the improved image benefits versus the handy dandy in my pocket slightly worse image but more frustrating camera ... I will step up and buy one.

I used to sit at about 2/3 track and set my F3 to shoot 5 frames at a time to do panning shots. Would pre focus. Man you can burn through film fast that way. I can remember going through 12 rolls of 36 frames of Kodachrome one day. That might not be much for a pro but for me it was alot!
