Wow! Sweeeeet ride Jerrod!! Nice!!

Old cars have a "personality" all their own new cars just can't compare to.

You getting used to the idea of people staring at you while you drive it yet??

I agree, you left one picture out.

took it to the stereo shop today and one the way i got a few honks and thumbs up.

Nice ride J Rod , my first car I owned was a midnight black 56 HT that I raced stock up to gasser . Had a ball with that car for many years.
Hey maybe you and Finman can convoy .
I know you were looking at sports cars and went the other way and I was looking at tri 5's and bought a vette. Go figure!

lol too funny what vette did you end up getting?

i passed on the turbo and got this and an SRT8 Charger...btw with the Charger going for employee pricing out here in cali it was too good of a deal to pass up.

Sure, you own an ultimate classic but are you taking it to the "Cruisin' Cucamonga" cruise this coming Saturday on the 9400 block of Foothill? Anyone who's anyone will be there!
I'll be there with our '72 Vette (only 48K miles) so I have to trailer it from Phoenix. Let me know if you are not going to Indy and I'll buy you a burger at Farmer Boy or something?

I wish...almost thought about staying home from Indy so I could. Can't wait to start hitting all the cruise nights. there is a ton out here. there is something going on almost every weekend.

Rain Check?

Normally i am the type who wants sporty and new...saw this thing at the Pomona Swap Meet last weekend and I could not leave without it.

Never thought driving an old car could be so fun.

J-Rod,

SWEET RIDE. Good move as you would have passed up a sweet ride if you had passed on this car. Looks better than the day it rolled off the assembly line. I love that color combo. Have fun cruising to all the Cruise Nights, especially the ones at the NHRA Motorsports Museum cruise nights if you are in the LA area.

It's just the begining, You are now officially Hooked! I had a 57' in Highschool that hooked me on old cars, You have a VERY nice specimen, and you did the right thing to buy one that is already done, I've restored a few and swore that the next one will be already done. Enjoy and trust me you can drive a new (insert your favorite here) but nothing gets more attention than a nice old "heavy Chevy".

wow! thats 1 hell of a car for your 1st old car, what are you going to do for an encore?:) sweet ride have fun with it. drive the hell out of it!

Sweet! My grandfather had a '56 Bel Air; 4-door, nassau blue and harbor blue. As for the Mopar... :D You sir need another GM to give that Chevy some company. :)

J-Rod,

You were in Indy? And DIDN"T LOOK ME UP???????????? You are officially out of my will!!!!!

Alan

P.S. Sweet Car, bring it to the JFR Holiday Car Show this year.
