Mike Edwards

That's crazy. It took nearly 3 years for tech to measure the car? Everyone knows the Pro Stock class is very dependant on aerodynamics, it would stand to reason that every car was checked on a frequent basis. Don't wait until the finals and make an issue out of this guys. I hope Mike stays and takes a runner up finish to the Champ!

Go Greg....gooooooooooo!

NHRA is so predictable its not even funny, with the standings going into this weekend I made a bet with my buddy some how some way some how NHRA is going to find a issue with Edwards. Now Im 20 dollars richer :)

Whose ruler do we use???

Remember some years ago, the sight of WJ furiously working on the rear fenders of his car? He was fit to be tied, and was insisting the car had been previously found to be legal, and was now all of a sudden too narrow?

David, that's the first thing that popped into my head too. Then shortly after that the fiasco over the size of Steve Johnson's engine (they said it was too big, it wasn't) popped into my head.

Funny how this never happens to the Summit cars...

Well, except for that whole electric shock absorber rule the NHRA passed and the valve material rule they passed and the... yeah, pretty much the NHRA gives Greg and Jason a pass on everything. :p

Didn't that prompt NHRA to begin measuring more closely and even developing templates? I seem to remember that situation changing, or increasing, NHRA's measurement of these cars.

I'm just amazed that the most dominant car for the last two years wasn't checked until now! They were pulling Greg Anderson in to the barn on a frequent basis...trying to figure out why he had the class covered. If anyone has been given the "hall pass" for inspections, it was Edwards. Mike claims his car is three (3) years old and hadn't been measured until now. That's CrAzY...

The entire class was ganging up on Greg back then...accusing the Summit cars of everything from electric shocks to traction control to exotic materials in their engines. There was even a belief that they were using NASCAR technology in their cars. Now that the class has caught the Summit cars no one is screaming foul...that's funny. I remember competitors saying that they couldn't acquire enough funding (money) to catch Greg and Jason.

When we all look back it's clear that they weren't doing anything then that the majority of the class isn't doing now.
