I'm no Spencer Massey fan but in his defense Snow and Spencer's dad are life long friends. That is where Snow's support of Spencer comes from. Seriously doubt if there is any other reason no matter how much you want to make it something else.

Then why was he terminated at season's end Don? If your plan all along was to fund the team and keep it together, then why fire your driver?

And what position does this put you in now that you've had to backtrack and rehire this guy? Sheet, he's got a free pass to live it up out there now. Good luck with morale in that group...

I don't understand what Spencer's backers are getting out of the deal. They foot the bill and the car gets wrapped in Schumacher Electric colors.

Another thing to consider is that 90% of the people who show up at Pomona will have no idea that Spencer was fired then rehired in a bizarre set of circumstances. To most fans it will just be a continuation from last season, only that FRAM is no longer on board. It will be interesting to see if it is mentioned on the TV broadcast or over the PA at the Fairplex.

Anything that happens towards the end of the year is going to have a tendency to take "story of the year" due to people's short attention spans. I would also be curious to know how many unique people actually voted in the poll. No disrespect to Bobby and his staff, but I would guess not very many compared to the pool of drag racing fans as a whole. Those votes would also be spread out all over geographically, so I stand by my assertion that an overwhelming majority of the fans at Pomona will not know the difference.

I do agree it will be interesting to see how it plays out with Spencer.
