Massey returning to DSR??? That's what sources say.

Unfortunately, and I speak about fuel racing in general - not just this situation, the correct color is green.

sure hope not, sounds like Antron was told to forgive him if so?? Antron says Spencer left due to sponsorship, didnt the Don say he would keep the team intact regardless of a sponsor. The Fram team didnt show up for the banquet except spencer right?? Not a way to be part of a team if you cant go and congratulate your fellow co workers.

If you knew Antron, you would know he would not "have to be told to forgive". That is just the kind of guy he is.

Its a shame-be a pro ball player-or now I guess a TF driver-if you have talent, alot of things can get "overlooked." As a team owner, I'd be quite pissed off if one of my drivers badmouthed his teammate while he was getting his 1st championship awards. Regardless of the reason.( If you punch him out in the team trailer...well-thats another story.)

Joe: none. I think that Russ was just trying to make sure that we all knew he wasn't just applying it to this particular situation. LOL :)

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. As far as talent, yeah, Massey's good, but guess how many other talented drivers are out there? Like TJ for starters. Not to mention looking to the alky ranks to recruit new blood. Nah, like many here have said, it's all about the Bennies...

Mr Schumacher.Hiring Mr Massey back....IMHO=BAD move on ALL levels. Please dont make that mistake.

If the Don doesn't hire Massey back, some other fuel team will. That kinda sponsorship dough is not going to get left on the table.

While, personally, I'd rather see any number of other people in the car.

I agree, howver there has to be more to the story, and there its, remember this is just ink and we all know there is no such thing as bad ink.

Print what ever you want about Me just spell my name right.

No doubt Shoe has made the best choice for DSR in his mind, no matter what media, fans or other racers think.

I think the history of the NHRA, and sports in general, demonstrates clearly that money talks. Money drives sport, both on the income and the outgo sides of the ledger.

History also shows that if you have someone with money hanging out of their pockets (or connections with same) and a desire to spend that on the sport, there is an astounding ability to overlook a wide range of things including shady funding sources, questionable ethics, and personal failings.

I have no direct knowledge of this situation (the "incident", his termination, or this latest twist), but not a word of it surprises me.
