Paul, that Hurricane is just setting south of Florida,, they're saying if goes towards land it might be Tuesday before it gets Philly now what goes on between now then not sure. Now if it takes eruo route it will go out to sea that 's what you want. I don't know if the people up there could handle another Sandy. Thanks much for the up-date. How does Fri. look??
What a stressful time for the crew chiefs in the Countdown. It's bad enough when it all goes as planned, but now we are looking at 2 shots on a very green new track with cold temps, and who knows if the rubber will even stick to the surface all that great.
Does Traxxas have any RC boats? At the track? Friday morning. Rain. What else is new? Been sitting here far too long with no cars going down the track and no promise as to when they will.
We ran at Pomona in 2011 at 53° with a 68° track temp.i was up there 2 yrs ago and it was pretty cold. but they were flying. now it looks like its going to be real cold on sat and and sunday. so when is it too cold to race?? or when does it get to the point where the cars can not stick ??
im also looking at the forecast for monday and it looks like a very good day for racing....... hmmm
Tony, there has to be a track temperature thats too cool for the tires to stick, like in the heat the track is too hot for the tires to stick. I am guess the preferred track temperature would be in the 60* to 90* range? We ran at Pomona in 2011 at 53° with a 68° track temp.
