It seems to me it would be very expensive to fire a crew chief during the season. You have to pay the crew chief you just fired then hire a new one and pay him and then the new crew chief hands you laundry list of changes they want to make or parts they want you to buy or crew guys they want you to hire so they can run the car "their way". It is a good call by Morgan to let this team "gel" as the season goes on and see what happens and evaluate the season as a whole.

It does crack me up, however, that he thinks "Just stomp on it" is progressive thinking.

They're probably smart enough to realize they've been the brunt of a few jokes these past few years. The best was "only George Steinbrenner has fired more people than Lucas".

Plus he was a E. Knoll hire, not a long time Lucas person like Langdon.
