‭I don’t know if it’s just the pic but that is one arched up TF car in the far lane.

I usually get the old "made ya look!" or jump scare....but I must trust you guys on this site to just blindly open it...

cool pic....I have one somewhere on 35 mm print that looks almost as bent....Maple Grove in the late 90's early 2000's I think...

Reminds me of Jim Head's old noodle car, that was a flexible SOB. The picture looks like the wheelie bar is on the ground as well.
Who and Where is that?

Alan

didn't this frame also arc up and break at finish line too? (at another race) pretty sure that is rance m. in other lane? rance had a top of line hauler back in the day.
i think he was in trailer business and built it himself? had an ultra cool hand painted 'blurred' image of TF'r on side if i can rememer. hartley's from NE eventually ended
up with it i think.

Those cars don't look all that different than todays cars, except for the wing. Head's car, anyway.

When I first moved to Vegas in 1994, Rance McDaniel had a match race with Shirley Muldowney at the old Las Vegas Speedway Park. It was the first time I saw nitro cars in the Pacific time zone!!! Several years later I was talking to him at Phoenix when he was selling autographed images of his Fluke sponsored car that had the big blowover, and he told me he remembered how sketchy the old track in Vegas was at the big end, and that how impressed he was that Shirley kept her foot in it to the stripe.

One year at an IHRA race at Cordova (2001?) Don Lampus rode a wheelie out about that far. It was impressive as hell to watch!

The Fluke car was not Rance's That was the Rydin Decal owned car

You are right Marc. I was talking to Rance at Phoenix, I just confused him with Randy.

I tell you what, it seems like here lately my memory has gone to sh!t LOL.
