Grand Junction, CO – After a pre-season testing crash Knowles Racing will be back for the Jegs ProMod Challenge in Houston, TX at the O'Reilly NHRA Spring Nationals.
"It's been a rough couple of weeks and things have been happening pretty fast", said Team Owner/Driver Mike Knowles. " My guys have been working real hard to get us ready for Houston. I can't thank my crew chief Dan (Dan Page of Dan Page Race Cars) enough. He and the guys at his shop have worked tirelessly to get us back into competition."
Not being able to get any test time in before Houston, Knowles still feels confident about his chances. "This season we are running a new engine program from Jan-Cen Motorsports headed by Two-Time IHRA Pro Mod Champ Mike Janis. The guys at Jan-Cen put a tremendous amount of R&D into their engine program and being able to tap into that is very beneficial to our team. With my Crew Chief, Dan Page, being able to work closely with Mike and Mike Jr. I feel really good about our chances of making it into the Houston field," said Knowles.

The 2008 JEGS Pro Mod Challenge will compete at NHRA national events in Gainesville (March 13-16), Houston (March 28-30), Atlanta (April 24-27), St. Louis (May 2-4), Bristol (May 16-18), Englishtown (June 19-22), Indianapolis (Aug. 27-Sept. 1), Dallas (Sept. 18-21), Richmond (Oct. 10-12), and Las Vegas (Oct. 30-Nov. 2).
