I think this is great news. Doesn't add a new car but keeps an existing car running full time. Ida needs the exposure, she deserves a full time ride in the future. Very clear who the primary sponsor is on Shawns car. He needs to take care of that sponsor!! He's a smart man.

Met Shawn at National Trail shortly after his accident, IIRC it was his first "test" race back. Guy was a hoot, he was telling me about his accident waving his hand around showing me where it was severed and where they decided to cut it off to make his hand functional. Smiling laughing one of the nicest guys I have met, taking time to interact with fans around his pits. He definitely turned me into one of his fans.

There is money to be made in the excavating world , but it's very hands on, and time intensive, you have to visit the job sites constantly to make sure everyone is working safely and efficiently as well constantly bidding for future work. I'm not surprised that Shawn needs to cut back a bit on the driving and the additional funds will help keep the team out there, a win for both he and Ida. Capco is the same time predicament forTorrances ,as far as lack of hours in the week, but probably not the budget, Salinas family business also, you have to make the money to feed that Nitro monster, so whatever keeps those guy's racing teams afloat is great.

And I believe there is a race limit for subs, Ida and Shawn could still concentrate on one driver in count gown if one gets enough points to make it in
