Justin Bieber and "drag racing"

What's scary is learning that just before Bieber went 'drag racing', he dropped $75,000 in one-dollar bills at a local strip joint. Those girls must have thought they'd died and gone to heaven.
Hmmm, lets just hope it was GIRLS dancing at the strip club The Beeb visited. That yellow Lambo suggests otherwise...

Here’s one for ya. During the holidays one of my wife’s employees was at our house (a mid-twenties woman). During conversation it came up that we are drag racers to which she responded, “Isn’t that illegal?” I took her out to see the car and she quickly realized that there is little in common between real drag racing and the kids with the Hondas wreaking havoc on the freeways. So yes, it’s an uphill battle to change public perception, but it’s been that way for drag racing since day one. I still believe it’s worth it to continue trying though.

As far as Bieber goes (or to quote Ozzy, “What the f**k’s a Bieber?”), that little twit would scream like a little girl and pee his pants in a real race car. Bieber “drag racing?” NOT!

You are so right ................

Competition Plus - Graham Light Addresses NHRA's actions after Bieber arrest

Really?? I get that the NHRA has to protect their brand, but good on the reporter for sticking to his story (shame on the cops if they did indulge the report). He should've also responded that Merriam-Webster doesn't mention NHRA under "drag race" in their dictionary.

It's another good shot at getting the NHRA some more publicity, but Graham should get to bottom of just where all the "Not For" (but certianly not against!) Profit money goes and why the new factory class cars still aren't factored correctly.

Well it appears that someone really is trying to send him back to Canada. https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/deport-justin-bieber-and-revoke-his-green-card/ST1yqHJL

It already passed 100,000 which means the white house has to have some type of official response. Just imagine if they did send him back, it would be the first positive thing our government has done in........well I guess a long time :)

The petition page had some other good ones, like a petition to construct a death star. That got a response, albeit a sarcastic one. I expect either a sarcastic response for the Bieber petition, or a stuffy one. Hoping for deportation, but hey, hope springs eternal.

As with the current US Government, there is a huge vacuum of leaders and leadership in most of our institutions.

Leadership, particularly in the NHRA, has been replaced by damage control experts and committee decisions led by the NHRA legal department.

Nobody is driving the bus on any level at the National Hot Rod Association, it just keeps coasting downhill.

I really believe, although I could be wrong, that for the most part, the public understands the difference between street drag racing and a sanctioned event at a race track. Shooting an AR-15 at your neighbor's house and shooting an AR-15 at a rifle range both qualify as target practice, too...it doesn't mean it's the same thing. NHRA's problems run a lot deeper than Bieber's recent antics.

We have been trying to find a way to get the younger generation to discover drag racing. This just might be it. Frank Hawley should make every effort to get the Bieb down to the school and teach him to drive a super comp dragster.

Exactly. And I'll stand by my previous thoughts that if people don't get the difference between what they see on the 6pm news, and what they see on Sunday night on ESPN2, then they will never get it, or never cared to begin with.
