Toronto, ON - With 87 points separating the top five teams and Quain Stott having two of those teams in the top five, one would think that Stott would be a little nervous with just three races to go. "It's the ninth race of the year," said Stott. "We've got our game plan in place; qualify well, don't make mistakes and win the race. If we do that everything else takes care of itself."
The rescheduled IHRA Canadian Nationals begins this Friday, with the first round of Pro qualifying set for 7PM.
Stott spent the week making laps in Rockingham at an ADRL event. His hopes were to gain more data on the track in preparation for the IHRA World Finals contested next month. "Well, that turned out to be an expensive test," said Stott. Stott lost an engine in a final qualifying attempt. "At first we thought a rod just gave out, but it turns out it was a bearing. So, I guess I just did something wrong when I put it together. The thing only had 10 rounds on it. The really bad thing is that we're headed into this race without a backup motor."
