I'm still mystified by Del's move. It's not like he had a shelf full of championship trophies and one more wouldn't have been a big deal or maybe just wanted to get off the tour and spend time with the family. Instead he gives up the sweetest ride in all of drag racing to go wrench on a new unproven team ?
