For a long time Scelzi ran number 20 because of his friendship with Tony Stewart and Danny "The Dude" Lasoski.

This is a thread derail (sorry), but are his antics embarrassing or what? When Buster was on the line he was the MAN in charge. This hillbilly looks like Jed Clampitt's younger twin on SPEED! :o If I were a Pro Stock driver, with a $200,000 race car under me, there would be nothing Rick could do that would alter my staging plans. What a screwball...
Antics embarassing? not to me there not.
A hillbilly that looks like Jed Clampitts younger twin on speed?
Rick "the Ironman" Stewart has done more in this sport and knows more about this sport than you sir will ever know or do.
You will never be a Pro Stock driver so no need to comment on that statement.
What a screwball?
Ya, you sure are:mad:

Thanks for the kind words Paul. It's a pleasure working with you...:D

Yeah, don't sweat it, Johnny! When you compare Buster to Rick, I don't know that I would necessarily use the word "embarrassing", but to say his theatrics are over the top would be a gross understatement. It's so obvious that he plays for the camera that it's a joke.

I didn't always agree with all of Buster's decisions, but there was never any doubt who was in charge on the starting line, that's for damn sure.

So yeah ... what the hell were you talking about anyway? I completely lost track.

Oh, yeah, yeah the black tape across the numbers ... since it's been answered I can say that police officers and firefighters also put a black stripe across their badges in honor of a fallen brother or sister.

I kept a Medlen tribute pic on my profile on myspace and as my av on the board I'm a mod on until the 2007 season ended in tribute to him.

Everybody has their way to honor those in death that they respected and admired in life. :)

I think Ron & Larry (and probably T.J.) would tell you they will use their permanent number unless they earn the #1. That is what Snake always did, as he looked at it as you failed unless you were #1. Using any other number was accepting failure as OK.
