"What a lovely place to get married, especially with the snow and all! "

You're so right Suzanne. It is beatiful up there year round. I feel very lucky living so close and being able to go there, any time I feel like a drive. :) Although a safer/nicer drive in the summer, in the vette. :D

It's becoming to Commercialized for my taste. I have been going to Tahoe since the mid sixties. I loved the mom and pop shops and the country type atmosphere now its million dollar condo complexes and expensive outlets. A lot of the privately owned motels are getting pushed out threw imminent domain. I still go but don't like it as much.
The scenery can be quite breathe taking. If you have been going to one place for so long you kind of take it for granted if you know what I mean.
I think it’s much prettier in the summer than the winter but that’s just me.

Bob - did someone put a lump of coal in your stocking??
Some of us care...maybe because we're suckers for a beautiful wedding

No! Someone asked a question I answered it....With everything that's going on in this sport a marriage don't seem that important unless it's your own of coarse!
As Diamond Dave once said there are 3 rings in marriage! 1) The engagement ring 2) the wedding ring 3) and the suffering!:D

"It's becoming to Commercialized for my taste." I agree Bob. Living close by, we just drive up/around the lake in the summer and enjoy the view/ride. My folks lived in Incline Village in the 70's and 80's, so I've seen the changes too.

Like most things, that have changed over time. Not always for the better either. Still a beautiful place though, just getting way to crowded.

Remember the Bonanza set attraction? That was cool!

Yup, we took the breakfast ride, on horseback up to the top years ago. We use to take the Corvette club up there, once each year too.:D They always loved to see us come. We would show up with around 40 vette's.

Dad worked at the old "Kings Castle" casino before buying his own place/business back then.
