They should have put pieces of the tower up for sale on eBay. Probably could have made enough money to pay for the new one.

you should have loaned it to themRandy
I agree they should do just what you said. why not, I gave NHRA the famous LIONS DRAG STRIP sign off the front of the tower for the NHRA museum. and they SOLD it on EBAY for over $3000 years ago.

If I remember correctly. Top Fuel, Pro Comp and Competition Eliminator were on the eastside and Funny Car, Pro Stock, Modified, Super Stock and Stock were on the westside. I'm not sure where the motorcycle classes were located.Thats the way it used to be before they switched to the east in the 80's. Going to lead to alot of walking for fans as a majority of the parking leads to the east side of IRP. I would also assume this rumored switch would mean the west side will be paved for the Pro's. Interesting!
Vegas has return road and pits on same side, I always liked watching the cars return in front of stands, although you have the option going in back to pits alsoIf I remember correctly. I think Funny Car got moved to the eastside in possibly 1980?
I've always enjoyed seeing the Pro cars being towed back up return road. I guess if the pit sides were flipped, that would be lost.
