How long does it take for the ads to disappear after one has "supported" the site?

I kinda like the new look. Although if I don’t use a vpn I get bombarded with register your account and verify with a credit card. I’m currently outside the U.S. but never got this before.

Can you take a screenshot? It has to be ad related. The site only ask to verify when you register through email or Direct Message.

I also fell for that, thinking I was on #2 and needed to go to #3.
But I eventually figured it out.

Yesterday when I posted, it showed up on page 2, with another reply added after me, while I tried to click on 3, kept going back to 2. Today has a 3 !

Yesterday when I posted, it showed up on page 2, with another reply added after me, while I tried to click on 3, kept going back to 2. Today has a 3 !

When you posted yesterday:

• The thread was right at the limit between page 2 and page 3.
• XenForo automatically places posts based on chronological order and posts-per-page settings.
• While you were browsing, another reply was added (either by someone else or moderation action), which shifted the page count.

So:

• Your post initially appeared at the end of page 2 because page 3 didn’t exist yet.
• When additional replies were made later, XenForo created page 3.
• Now the thread has enough posts to require a third page.

Why clicking page 3 kept sending you back to page 2

If page 3 didn’t actually exist yet (or was cached/not refreshed):

• XenForo redirects you to the last valid page — which was page 2 at that moment.

In short

Nothing was wrong — the thread just crossed the page limit as new replies were added, and pagination updated afterward.
