I've had a few chances to attend but have never made it. Watching it on TV is my yearly ritual. This year I'm picking Helio. Let's hear everyone else's picks.

Here are my INDY picks....

T/F ~ Tony Schumacher
F/C ~ John Force
P/S ~ Greg Anderson
P/SM ~ Andrew Hines
TA/D ~ Bill Reichert
TA/FC ~ Frank Manzo

I am pulling for Marco Andretti and Graham Rahal.

We need both of these young American drivers to start winning races and go to F1.

But I think the winner will come from these 4: Scott Dixon, Dan Whldon, Tony Kanaan and Helio Castroneves.

I think one of the Target cars will win, but I am rooting for Marco Andretti.

I think the Symantec car piloted by Tomas Scheckter has the best chance of all the cars no one is paying attention to. That team finished 5th last year, is half owned by Roger Penske's son Jay, and Tomas , if he stays out of trouble, will get 100% out of that car. The son of the 1979 F1 champ Jody would be a great winner.

Bob, Tomas is can drive the wheels off a car.* The problem is, he actually does it more often than not by crashing it.* Once he finds his "groove" he will be a major player week in and week out.* I wouldnt mind seeing him win it.* I also wouldnt mind John Andretti, Davey Hamilton, Graham Rahal, AJ "I wrecked another one" Foyt, or Marco win it.* Wouldnt even mind it if Danica won, I think that would be cool even though I know alot of people cant stand here. But honestly, I think Helio or Wheldon will win it.* If not, then it will be Kanaan or Dixon.* But if I have to pick one, I'll go with Helio.

Hate to pick the favorite but in this case that's what I'm going to do and say that Dixon will win, if he doesn't it will probably be Wheldon.

What a day it could be!

Nico Rosberg, son of '82 World Champ Keke Rosberg wins at Monaco in a Williams on the 25th Anniversary of his Father winning Monaco in a Williams. Then Tomas Schekter, son of '79 World Champ Jody Schekter (in a Ferrari!) wins Indy. Or Marco Andretti, grandson of '78 World Champ Mario Andretti wins Indy on the 39th anniversary of Mario winning Indy.

Lots of World Championship bloodlines racing this weekend ....

Pulling for local boy Hamilton to win it, him or Marco Andretti.

I don't know if it's just my attitude this year or what but this is one of the most enjoyable 500's I've watched in several years. I feel terrible for Sarah Fisher. :(

It was ok to me, but I didnt think that it was real "racey" as they say. Hard to pass, and anytime that happens its not as exciting to watch. I did feel bad for Danica and Tony Kanaan. Sarah Fisher just needs to give up.

tell that to vitor meira.

and excuse me? Sarah was taken out by AGR. not one iota of that was her fault.

Too bad the track appears to be bad today.

?

seemed fine to me. Most of the drivers in the wall were rookies - those 'superior ' champ car drivers. :D

I really thought Tomas was going to take it.

How many passes did he make today? Seriously whoever said there wasn't enough passing - what were you doing during the race? you were watching right?
