I don't know if that will make economic sense with the Motorplex in the same area with an National Event. This is assuming he would build a track like the one in Concord.

The Motorplex just got a LONG extension on their agreement with NHRA. So it's doubtful they will build a strip at TMS. BUT it would be great if they did !!
It's closer to the big population center than the Motorplex and a better access and motel situation. IMHO.......

If this did happen, and they eventually took the NHRA event from the Motorplex, this sure would not help the way Billy Meyer feels about Bruton. I remember Billy's long range plan was to also build a speedway, until Bruton built Texas Motor Speedway.

I can't feel sorry for Billy because he didn't build a speedway ... he had plenty of time. The DFW market was WAY under-served for NASCAR for years and everyone knew it. If Bruton hadn't built TMS ... ISC would have.

Comparing the Motorplex to ANY of Bruton's dragstrips....I'm glad Bruton built TMS !!! I remember what Billy did to the IHRA !!!...... :-(
And when Billy wanted to move the Motorplex to Grand Prarie with TAX PAYER MONEY !! Grand Prarie should have called Bruton........
