Houston car counts?

Just got home from the race. The race was very well attended all days from a spectator standpoint. The pits had as many rigs as they could handle given the rain leading up to the race. We were parked on very fresh crushed concrete (like two hours old fresh). It made a mess inside our rig, but I'm happy otherwise. A couple of rigs got stuck, but as said earlier, they gave us until after parking time to withdraw. I will say that essentially every sportsman I know got drug tested this week.

Would it be nice to have the amount of dry parking that Ennis has (where our class, top dragster, had 54 cars trying for 32 spots at the divisional the week before), sure! But does it make sense from an ownership standpoint .... probably not!

Congrats to Bob Gullitti on winning top sportsman with his very fast Camaro. Bob is a cancer survivor, and missed Ennis the week before fighting some reoccurring complications. It's great to have him out there.

Live TV is really tough on the sportsman ... if combined with anything less than perfect weather. It retrospect, the cut field size was probably a blessing for this race. I think the fans got a great show. I know I had fun playing the role of participant (up through rd 1 ... dangit) and fan.

See some of you in Atlanta/Dunwoody in a few weeks.

I remember pulling into the West lot Friday around 11AM, instead of Mud everywhere I saw Dust! I didnt see the Sportsman pits so if there was any Mud I didn't see it!
