I am concerned about financial effect this will have on owners. They have invested a lot of money on improvements on track and im sure they count on National Event to cover there yearly cost. On a good weelk for National Event they pull in good crowds so i hope this doesnt hurt them to bad. Im sure it been talked about how money is shared between NHRA and Owners

I'm still hoping they'll get the Pros done today.
FWIW: The guys talked themselves out - answered a lot of questions) on AllAccess today (Made the best of a bad situation)

Define independent.

single car team. but that's hard to define these days. everyone is connected in some fashion. mcmillen get parts from dsr? i'd like to think stringer racing
calls their own shots. pretty impressive performance at topeka. it is good to see a lone crew chief, team and driver can still rule the day.

Possibly Antron Brown vs Brandon Bernstein at Richmond in 2009. Mike Ashley still owned Antron's car at that time and didn't have a Funny Car running and Brandon Bernstein drove for his dad with no teammates or Funny Car connection. DSR bought the team a few weeks after that race.

How can you NOT root for Clay? Never met him, but he just seems like the real deal. Congrats Clay, Grubby and the entire team!

How about EE choppin' the tree down (.005) (.003)...awesome!

Also, congrats Deric on your first wally!

Phillip, for the past 3 years we have pitted next to Clays team and used their hospitality for selected races and I can say with out a doubt that Clay is one of the genuine nicest guys I have ever met. At Topeka we had Terry Mcmillan on one side and Clay Millican on the other side of us. Needless to say there was a lot of excitement floating around the area.:)
