Enjoy what could be your last WHP experience. Lure of a constant flow of sales tax to GRIP may mean your wife and kids will be shopping where you used to race and/or watch drag racing.
Is shutting down Wild Horse just a rumor or is it serious? Argh. When I first moved to AZ in 1981, all we had was the old Tucson Dragway. If they do shut down WH, then we'll come full circle. Hello vegas for the Nat'l event.
I'm in Phoenix visiting family and we went out to catch qualifying today. While not a 1st class facility, it's still a cool track with the boat drags lake, the dragstrip, and Bondurant's school on the road course. What a shame if we lose another track, especially in the Phoenix market.
I agree on the corrupt tribe deal. I hear so many stories about doing business with them and none of them good. A thought: down in Casa Grande, there is a big race track that is supposed to be built, I think for just road racing. But, what if they would build a drag strip? Like a national event capable track? Hmmmm
