Inconsistent Spectator Rules at WHP?

Went down to WHP yesterday and thought things were going to start off badly! I walk up to the entrance and the first worker tells me I can't bring my camera bag in! Right away I'm pissed, this is a standard Cannon camera bag with that holds the camera and a few lenses. I start arguing with the guy and another guy comes up and says its OK since its a camera bag. Just before we left I walked up to the guys on the inside of the entrance gate, after security and the ticket takers. I say I may come back tomorrow and was asking what the rules are just in case I bring my wife. Well he says no coolers or backpacks. And as if on cue a girl goes strolling in with a huge backpack on her back. I look at her and point and say, no backpacks, like that He just stammers some and says I don't know how that happened but I should be warned I might be disappointed if I come tomorrow, they might not let it in. I saw so many people over the course of the day with backpacks on. I just told the guys if you're going to have rules the least you could do was enforce them consistently.

Had the same problem Friday. Could not go in with back pack. I use it for my meds (diabetic) and foods I TRY to bring in cause they don't have high carbs. Can't bring in water or food, etc. Last year I went to the manager and they let me in but this year I had to go back to the car and put my meds in my jacket pocket. The attitude of these people sucks! They are a contract service called Pride, hired by the track or the Rez. I bought my tickets on line. Says on the ticket section GA1. Guess what? No such thing. It's either S (spectator) or P (pit). Asked the pride people, where is my seat? They didn't know. Was already ticked cuz couldn't bring in back pack & this kinda added insult to injury. I wrote a e mail to track mgt to let them know; see if they reply. Sometimes I get the idea that the tribe runs the track and they don't give a rats patooie about customer service. All they look at is $$$. Arghhhh

That's crazy. I carry a big purse but I have chronic pain so for events like that I switch to a backpack because it's easier to carry for long.

So now all y'all got to go get a big flowery purse so you can carry your things!!!

Be all "It is a Purse" ridiculous.
Most of my clothes don't even have pockets!!

I did see a woman with a big purse and they let her in. Maybe I could just use a tote bag. They were searching any bags they let in. You know, I do understand why they search the bags but the way they handled all this is just poor. They need to let people know what can be brought in and what not, and make exceptions for special food or meds & items like that.

This is right off their Code of Conduct page "Automobiles and Coolers are Subject to Search. No Glass Bottles or Container. No Cans or Partially Filled Containers" To me this infers coolers are allowed, but they can be searched. I couldn't find anything that said they were not allowed in the track area or that bags weren't allowed. I'd hate to be a 1st timer spectator who shows up with a cooler!

Get a gun stuck in your face by a Tribal officer for parking where you were told to park by the customer, that rented a warehouse from the Tribe, when making a delivery. Bottom line was they were forcing people to the casino. One year after the races were over they would not let anyone turn right to the freeway, made everyone turn left, then forced them to turn into the casino. If you don't know what you are talking about STFU.

Wild Horse Pass is a shithole, we only go to party with our friends in the motor home parking area. Had reserve tickets, but you can't see too good, people stand up, the Jumbotron is not placed well, you can't see it very well. Next year, no reserve seats just general admission, you can see just as well if not better. Oh yeah I forgot to mention there was a bee swarm in our section, no one from wild horse did anything to disburse them, we moved to GA seating.
