I can't seem to post a photo here. I clicked on the paperclip. Went to browse, selected the photo, hit upload and no picture. What did I do wrong?

You need to use an image hosting service, like Photobucket. Set up an account there (quick and easy), upload your photo, copy the link and then paste it here. A bit daunting the first time, but the Photobucket site explains it well and once you're used to it, it takes mere seconds.
