Gray energized for first of four (1 Viewer)

[coverattach=1]Joliet, Prerace: Johnny Gray and his National Tire and Battery, NTB Pro Stock are hot. Within the past few races, the performance of the NTB Pontiac has stepped up and Gray’s driving has shined. With the hot summer months upon us, Gray is looking to take his hot NTB Pro Stock to great results through the upcoming busy time.

June will be a hectic month on the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing tour, filled with a lot of racing and travelling. The four-race swing starts with this weekend’s 13th annual Union Plumbers, Fitters, Welders and HVAC Techs Route 66 Nationals at Route 66 Raceway. Next weekend it travels to Englishtown, N.J. for the Supernationals, it then heads to Bristol, Tenn. for the Thunder Valley Nationals and culminates at the Summit Racing Equipment Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio. Gray sees this busy schedule as a great opportunity to continue the performance he has been enjoying.

“We’re excited to start the four race deal that’s coming up,” expressed Gray. “It looks like we have found something in the NTB car and it certainly likes the hot weather and the conditions that it brings. So were anxious to see if we can keep it up and make some rounds at all of them and even maybe a trip to the Winners Circle. It’s great to be starting at Route 66 this weekend. It’s a great track and it’s fast, so we’re looking for some good results.

“On Sunday, we will have special guests joining us from Cintas Corporation. We will make sure that they have a good time and hopefully will have a lot to enjoy as we go rounds. Plus, Lynn Parker of TBC Retail Group and his wife Cynthia, will be with us all weekend and we always enjoy spending time with them. So, it’s all good and it’s looking to be a great weekend for our NTB team.”
