I agree, to me the cool thing is this race reminded me of racing in the 77-82 years. Kinda like when we did it for the love of racing.

This was my thought also, IHRA is a whole different vibe at the track. Nothing super fancy, haulers and teams that look like an "average" person could run. IHRA is racing event, NHRA is a circus show

I agree with Mr. Bennett. And the racing was great!. Some real close racing, lots of qualifying drama and a pile of cars. The attendance numbers have me a little baffled however. Especially since access to tickets was pretty easy as I understand.

what i enjoyed most about the nitro cars, both in qualifying and elims, was how many good runs were made vs. up in smoke.
the track delivered. without that, i think many of us would have more varied opinions. also, very nice job of drying
track on saturday and finishing under the lights.

The more runs that are made at night in cooler conditions, the better the event will be.
