You are not the only one Mark, when he stabbed the throttle I said to myself WTF is he doing? If he was still crew chiefin' he would have been pretty upset with his driver after a stunt like that!

Don't get me wrong, I like Zippy and I am not hatin' on the man, somebody should have reminded him on the radio to only stage the car, not to run it even though if he was honest with himself he would probably should have known ....

Yep, I too couldn't believe he stayed in it as long as he did, all the while wondering when something was "gonna go boom".

tj mentioned how you can 'stab' the throttle on a tight track;
i'm assuming that's what we saw in the final as melanie was on/off
throttle very fast in early part of run and her car hooked rite away.

tough deal for mike, his car was chargin' hard before it let go.
could have seen a REAL low number if run properly.

She just went up a few notches on my favorite list of drivers.....
