While I was shocked to see Fast Jack go for #1 on Saturday (therefore setting up 1st round against Ron Capps), both he and Tommy Johnson are still within striking distance of the Hulk. Going to be an interesting final weekend.

I wasn't shocked. In Q1 he had a quicker 330 than Hagan did (Hagan was low) and missed by a little bit and smoked down track. They tweaked for Q2 it and ran great. Hagan got 3 points in Q1, I think they wanted to keep pace and get 3 of their own.
I am rooting for either Tommy or Jack to win since both may not be back next season plus it would be special for one of the giving cars to go out as champion, the perfect scenario would be for both to meet up in the finals for a winner take all race. I think that would be a fitting and perfect ending to the giving car program.
Cruz put up some promising numbers last weekend. I would enjoy Cruz and team running the gauntlet on Sunday and playing spoiler in some fashion. Hoisting Mr. Wally.
I'd love to see Tommy win just because he is the only DSR Funny Car driver who has not won a championship. I like Beckman, Ron and Hulk but they all have championship trophies.
