Force quote about breaking...

ESPN2's gal (forget her name) did a finish-line interview with Force (John), and he said this:

" I dunno - it was haulin' ass - all of a sudden it just sort of 'barked', like a cam broke or something....DON'T NOBODY TOUCH ANY OF THIS, I want the cameras to see it. I don't want to listen to any BS".

That's what he said. During the interview he was distracted and looked over to his right and that's when he said "DON'T NOBODY TOUCH ANY OF THIS". I guess they were lifting the front.

The film crew did show the broken bracket.

Dear Maters,

Just to state again what I wrote in another thread. I realized last off season that when I feel JFR does or does not go heads up in finals, I am fighting a losing battle. Who knows outside of the 10 trailers that say Castrol on them in the Pit Area.

If the other 13 guys/gals can't break up an all JFR final.....well........you get what you pay for.

Not saying it wasn't heads up at Indy, I'm just saying I'm not worried about it. Hey, the other 13 guys/gals should be.

Oh by the way...phenomenal to see Cory Mac get the finals heads up for DSR!

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Bullard in SoCar.

............I can remember when Angelle Sampey (Savoie?) refused to even stage against her teammate in a final round, for fear that she'd knock him out of the points chase. Her cred went from 100 to 0 in about 15 seconds....................

She later said she realized almost immediately that it was a huge mistake, and that she'd never do it again. (And I don't believe she ever did.)

Yet, who was it? Shelly Anderson? DID race a team mate up front a few years ago, beat him and eliminated him from some sort of contention, and caught hell for it here on this board.

I agree. It was a no winner for John.

So would you agree no matter what the results were in the final round at Indy vs. Ashley, John was in a NO WIN situation in the court of public opinion?

I thought that would be the case even before they had the race! As soon as John won his semi-final and we knew Ashley was already in the Final, I went OH NO, not another opportunity for rumours and dive suggestions, but I only felt that way if the race didn't turn out to be competitive, and that is unfortunately what happened. At least John didn't have a .201 light and then smoked the tires like he did in Atlanta when Ashley won her first Funny Car race. He had a real reason to win that race too, as I believe it would have been his 500th (or 5,000th) something (round win ?) as I recall.

It was Melanie... and Morgan I believe

No, I wouldn't agree. If they both cut decent lights and made it down track under power....there would be no reason for any speculation. John brings this on himself becasue of prior questionable races.

Race straight up for 20 or 30 years...........Then throw one race and people question you ever time something weird happens.

Go figure.......:)

My dad always says, "If a man builds bridges for 20 years and he ____________ just once, he ain't a bridge builder, he's a _____________er."

The quote isn't good for a family oriented place like this, but use your imagination. :)
