Was watching it live, it is a testimony to FIA safety standards, Romain was one of the more outspoken about NOT wanting the HALO. He feels differently now. Did you see the footage that showed the front of the car on the other side of the wall ? the capsule was intact and all the extraneous parts were gone.
His injuries seem to be limited to his hands being burned. Before the HALO he would of been DOA. There is also in car video from his car up until impact.

was also watching. everything performed exactly as it should. amazing to crawl out virtually unharmed.
there is good utube vid that breaks down all the cars as they broke for turn 1, a few lockups, causing a log jam in the mid-pack, sending kimi into the left side marbles,
and leaving grosjean near the back with a lot of acceleration headed towards a bunched up field, then making a wild move right to a spot that was not open, hitting
left front of daniil kvyat.........grosjean w/o f1 seat for 2021, announced prior this bahrain race. he is also having trouble locating a ride with usa indycar for 2021
