Very few people are able to do that. Out of that entire one hour show, they had ONE couple who responsibly kept their feet on the ground. Most just go nuts. Like I said, you don't have to look very far to find out that most are even MORE broke and miserable within a few years than before they won. Everyone thinks they'd be the different ones.
I'm not going to win anything like that because I'm not going to play due to principles, anyways. I'm not going to make money playing the rigged games of others. I want my own rigged games!
If someone did, however, come up to my door and say "Congratulations, Mr. Dunlap. You've won the new $25 million lottery that you don't have to buy a ticket for." I honestly think it would scare the hell out of me. I'm not so sure I'd be jumping up and down like most would. Knowing what I do, I'm pretty sure I'd be more like "You just ruined my life."Oh, if they announced it and you have to move right away? If people knew what your face looked like? All of a sudden EVERYONE, all the people who wouldn't have given you the time of day on the day before is kissing your butt?
I've known and been friends with some fairly wealthy people and they DON'T live like "got rich quick" lottery winners. Any of them can walk through a Walmart and sometimes look like the poorest people in there. The difference is that they're more like to stay where they are because they'll keep on living the way that got them there in the first place.
