They are, but those who aren't familiar with and aren't fans of drag racing like we are will tell you Yes, but they run 100mph slower for 3 1/2 hours, not 3 1/2 seconds, and turn corners while doing it. But of course, 330 is faster regardless of the time spent doing it and therefore the fastest form of ground-based motorsports.I am a bit perplexed about the new IndyCar campaign as well; aren't those cars about 100mph slower?
And that's 1/4 lolNew Jersey’s own Slamming Sammy Miller ran 3.58 @ 386mph in his funny car but not under NHRA sanction…. And on something a little spicier than nitro….
Timing system used in Bradenton was the same one NHRA uses.As far as who went 341, the clocks at Bradenton were suspect. That makes Prock the record holder. Plus, the NHRA always counts records under their sanction, not someone else's. But I do agree with his sentiment about Indycar or even F1 being fastest. There's no comparison. Just ask any driver if they would trade seats and the nitro driver says "sure" but the other drivers say "no way, you guys are nuts!"
We'll see what happens if the IHRA takes off.... maybe the drag racing recognition will go up again, like in the 70's.....
I hope Bradenton goes IHRA.Timing system used in Bradenton was the same one NHRA uses.
Not with that yankee accent of his.Tasca better be careful about criticizing Fox, he might be accused of being a Mexican and face deportation.

Apparently the IHRA has a new owner and he's "buying" existing race tracks around the country. I don't know very many details but it sounds like he has big plans.... Time will tell. Why? At this point IHRA is really an unknown entity.
