Possibly the reason the Rule was changed (And OK'd) is because it will give the class Bigger Speed & lower ET's across the board making it seem like the class is faster all around.
So are you saying as long as the slower guys get to use the same cheating at the next race it’s ok to cheat and not be disqualified

It is now within the rules so anyone that dosen't take advantage of the "New" rule is basically S.O.L.. All this does is just drive up the cost to run and be competative. Also it may in someway give one Mfg. an advantage if others can't come up with the same combination. Next the will probably start piling on weight.

I have to hand it to NHRA for screwing up FX in record time. In the wake of the Indy cheating and NHRA making it legal they drove one brand out completely (Geoff Turk). It will now become Camaro FX, like the abomination that is Pro Stock. Thankfully Turk (FX), Raymond Nash (FSS), and Jason Dietsch (Cobra Jet FX) are being outspoken about this and are not letting the egregious GM favoritism be swept under the rug as if it didn't exist.

I had such high hopes for FX....

I don't recall the exact words but last week Amanda Busick asked Erica Enders whom she considered her 3 strongest competitors. She replied Anderson, Glenn and Stanfield, including a thinly veiled comment about how she felt about Stanfield's involvement in Pulleygate.

So as I understand it, some racers were caught with irregular supercharger drive pulleys and after they were punished, NHRA decided to make the once-illegal modifications legal in order to speed up the class a bit?

Sounds good to me. Now, Greg Anderson can show up at the Texas Motorplex with onboard nitrous, assess him a fine, change the rules and by the time the World Finals roll around they'll all be running 225mph. 210 is getting a bit stale, no?

Appearently when I said this very same thing in an earlier Post I was asked if I was OK with CHEATING, which I am NOT but Erica came up with the same rational as I did - which makes sense. This was also a situation where the "Letter of the Rule" interfered with the "Intent" of the rule.

That sounds like Wayne County saying “technically” nitrous was not specifically outlawed until after the break in.

We're in the same boat. Of course we don't condone cheating; we're simply expressing an opinion as to what and why NHRA did what they did.
