I'd assumed - maybe wrongly - that at this level of racing, the intake manifold would be a make-to-print deal, with the engine team developing the geometry 100% in-house.

But it doesn't sound like it from comments posted above about Hogan and Wilson?

KB Racing seems to have found great success working with a 3rd party to design and build their EFI manifolds. Could be that Allen Johnson decided to go that route as well.
 
I'm not surprised Wilson and Hogan manifolds are involved. They have a lot of existing R&D when it comes to EFI manifolds.
