I'd assumed - maybe wrongly - that at this level of racing, the intake manifold would be a make-to-print deal, with the engine team developing the geometry 100% in-house.

But it doesn't sound like it from comments posted above about Hogan and Wilson?

KB Racing seems to have found great success working with a 3rd party to design and build their EFI manifolds. Could be that Allen Johnson decided to go that route as well.

As Mark Breznay said...it's the Hogan intake..it's covered up for a very good reason.

I thought NHRA said they had to show the Motors to the public?

The rule is to prevent covering up the entire engine from the public. Last I heard, it doesn't say you can't cover up an individual component....

I like the looks the fabricator and painter did a nice job making it.

I'm not surprised Wilson and Hogan manifolds are involved. They have a lot of existing R&D when it comes to EFI manifolds.
