None of the articles talk about Josh Hart stepping away. Yes he has sold his team but he also sold the headaches that come with team ownership. He could just bring the money he is spending and go to another team.

Well, his operation sure wasn't on the market for long. But maybe you're right, Chris - that Josh might stay in the sport, but just not as a team owner. He could easily afford to bring money to "buy a ride" so to speak, to be the driver on a team that needs the funding. Or maybe he'll drive for Elite. I guess time will tell.

I know that the speculation is about Erica switching, but I wonder if it could end up being Spencer Hyde switching from FC. He's had some nice success in FC this year, and I think he's engaged to Courtney Enders, so obviously knows the team. That way you would have someone who has experience driving in the fuel categories.

Let's not forget that he ran a Dodge Challenger in the Factory Stock Shootout Class in Charlotte, Bristol, Norwalk and Indy (qualified 17th). Maybe this is the future of his drag racing career. Can't blame him, not a full season schedule, way less money spent, way less travel and stress and more time with his family.

Spencer got his feet wet in Top Fuel driving for Todd Paton several times. He can wheel anything. Also it was mentioned recently that he was needing additional funding for 2026. Elite also has ties to Jackie Fricke.

Erica is a "master' at driving a Pro Stock Car, but if she switched to Top Fuel, her success will all but be at the mercy of the teams crewchief, no matter how good a driver she is. Remember Dave Connolly's foray into the nitro ranks. If memory serves, he did ok, but he was hardly the threat he was in Pro Stock!
