So looks like arend has the ride for the year? Thats good! Seems odd lesenko being replaced and seems like they had a hard time filling the seat in off season? Maybe nobody wants to pay for that ride bc the car is slow??
after he stepped in @ winters, a presser said he was signed up for next 3 races, zmax, SGMP, and joliet.
i do not recall reading anything further than that. maybe there has been something i missed?

I'd be surprised, since I'm sure Arend is not paying for the ride. He probably gets travel expenses - that's it. No doubt they really need a driver who can pay for the ride to help the team with expenses.
Jeff used to frequent here, great dude, met him in Columbus 20 some years ago, gave us a tour of the hauler and the lounge. Will always be one of my favorites, glad to see him driving that car.
At the time the official word was he injured his back. Not a good thing driving a fuel FC. Somebody please correct if I heard wrong, believe it was posted here when it happened.
They did use "back" in a general term. I'm not trying to stir anything up. It's just not my place to disclose someone else's private information. I just know that he's recovering from an injury.

I always thought Jeff was one of the friendliest drivers with us fans, a great driver and knows his way around the clutch set-up, really everything a team could want in a driver, except a million $ per year to kick in maybe.
