Digital Camera Question (1 Viewer)

I am looking for an upgrade to my current Canon powershot A520. I am thinking about the Canon G10 or the Canon SX10. I am kinda partial to the Canons but am open to other suggestions. I kinda want to stay out of the SLR's right now.

I know some of you guys know your cameras pretty well so I was wondering if any of you guys have had any experience with either of those two cameras or like any others around the same specifications.

Have to agree on DPreview, it's a great site.

I'm partial to either Canon or Panasonic cameras myself. If I had to choose one I'd go with the SX10, love the huge zoom range. I'd much rather have less pixels (10MP for the SX10 Vs 15MP for the G10) but more zoom. No point in having all those pixels if you have to crop them all away to make the subject bigger.

Plus, from what I heard, Canon tried to pack too many pixels into the G10 resulting in worse image quality than the previous version.

Another good buy is the Panasonic FZ28, you might want to check that out too.
