DI 2025/26 winter series

how about aaron stanfield picks up a cool $150k in WSOPM on saturday.
I don't follow this series, so I am out of the loop. With that big of a purse, what is the entry fee per car? I would think that it must be substantial. Otherwise, where else could they come up with the funds for that big of a purse?

jon, i can't answer with any degree of specificity, but i think that series is surrounded by a lot of sponsors that all work in the
same direction, and have built this race from it's humble beginning at bandimere speedway i think almost 7-8 years ago?, into what
is now a go to 3 race series for the who's who in the PM world. wes buck and his crew at drag illustrated, combined with victor and cleetus
from bradenton dragstrip, flo racing, and i'm pretty sure J&A services and red line oil were part of it as well, plus many others.
i think this is the 3rd year now they have run the 3-race winter series at bradenton?
do not know how they handle entry fees.

Thanks, Mike, for that background on this series.

I wonder if the NHRA could ever put one big purse race together for, say, the US Nationals. It could bring some luster back to what has really become just another race.

the entry fee for pro mod was 2K x 64 cars = 128k to almost cover the purse. As said, sponsorship, gate receipts and money from FLO easily cover the rest and make a nice profit for Wes, Victor and Cleetus.
