Del-Wow!

Surely, your name is not Barry. However, I see you can piss the farthest, strongest, longest, etc.

I was saying the quoted statement by Barry looked silly, with a wink, so get off the defensive there big pisser.

And yes, I will stop calling you Shirley.

Call me whatever the hell you want I was commenting for myself and not Barry as Tony dismissed us both. Is this the best you got? Only one pissing is you. It's incredible anyone on this site who gets in a DISAGREEMENT OF OPINION go on the extreme and call it is a pissing contest and their ego's turn it into fighting a war that was started by people like you. WTF am i trying to win big man? I never seen you post on here, so you must be one of the members of the group who contribute absolutely nothing and just chime in to disrespect someone for their valued opinion. What is with you people on her, it's incredible.

Absolutely. Who really knows if the car had room left in the tune up or if it was on the edge of just making it. Now that they have the data they can absolutely learn from it 100%. Just like Tommy Delago, I would think just having the data on the 3.99 only means it can be perfected when the next chance for a number like that happens. I think for any crew chief, just knowing that you made a number like that happen only means that you can now start searching on what can be better no matter if it's a crew chief that tuned a 3.73 or one that just broke into the 3.7's for the first time.

I know during Hagen's run of 3.99 it dropped a cylinder at 660. Now I bet Tommy knows, but we do not. If the car did not drop a cylinder would it of ran a 3.98 or would the run never of happend if the car did not drop a cylinder, meaning if the horsepower did not reduce at 660 would it of hooked. I remember AA Dale saying in 98 with Dixon when they broke the 4.4 barrier that if the car never had a wheelie bar, it would of never broke into the 4.40's.
The think the rest of the season should be pretty interesting.

With 3 races left I think both the T/F and F/C records could possibly be broken with the best chance being at Pomona.
Phoenix has just been repaved and has not been an exceptional track even in it's best days and the weather will probably be hot. Vegas is a great track but also is not known for record setting numbers and it is also hot. I think that Pomona has the best chance as by the time they get there the weather will have changed in SoCal. The Finals at Pomona have always been questionable for weather (rain) but when it's good it's very good and the track has been the record track many, many times.
I wouldn't rule any of them out but would bet that the quickest will be at Pomona.
I hope that both F/C & T/F come down to the final round and I hope its Del that wins T/F, would like to see Zippy win F/C but he has to get it back together.

I agree, plus Pomona is at sea level.

I think Larry...Del...Antron, or Spencer all have a pretty good shot.:)
So is it safe to say that we're enjoying the Countdown and the close competition that it is bringing???

............Just a minor addition. Still can't figure out John Force. He qualifies with a 4.01 and then goes out in the 1st round 'AGAIN'. I don't know what his 1st round jinx is but if I were him I would be getting real upset with the crew when I own 3 of the quickest F/C's and the other 2 have done better than mine all year.
I watched the qualifying shows this past weekend on the NHRA.com Interactive, and they noted that his team was suffering through clutch disk issues......

Being a clutch guy on a TF team gives him no right to dismiss my opinion. My opinion is not SILLY, wise one, it's and opinion. I don't care if he says, "well you dont work on it, you have no insight to what it is behind the scenes." and I will say, "I will find a clutch guy on a team that wants 1320 back. This is no pissing contest, it's an opinion, I don't care who you are or what it is you do, respect it.

Patrick, I think you should come by the raceshop so I can weld some titanium plates around your hands to keep you from typing.

lance, wasn't it a few years ago you would hear of smaller teams suffering
because the larger teams would buy up large quantities of disks to
insure better consistency?.... and the independents would have to work with
varying 'lots' of disks and hence inconsistency? odd to hear JFR comments

don't care who wins this year - am enjoying the countdown but unfortunately
don't think it has done anything to attract new fans, it's the
same group of us that has paid attention for the last century and still do.
hopeful for final @ pomona between neff & cruz for all the marbles.
love del, but massey/brown final to decide everything would be cool; gotta'
hand it to DSR for putting these two great guys in the limelight and
allowing them to shine.

Your no better on this thing...you always got the "imma post my right opinion cause I'm big tony and if you disagree, i'm gonna type something about how dumb you are." I ain't scared of you, This actually had nothing to do with you till you want to shut me up over my opinion. As I said, you ain't nothing but a clutch guy on a TF team and you use it to flant your opinion and to intimidate. It ain't working on me. As I said before who you are or what you do gives you no more right to insult me over my opinion, now you wanna threaten me.......All I can do is laugh in your disrespecting face.

And dont get me stated on you Mike. No one should be Agreeing with a guy who is so disrespectful he'll talk smack to somebody just because they speak an opinion you don't agree with. Oh wait, that was you as well. You and Tony should go out for a drink.

Just end it guys I'm not looking for a disagreement, you can't agree with my opinion then move on, you dont have to insult me for having it. Tony post #42 you started it, and Mike post # 51. My proof to show you I did nothing to the both of you so move on and think whatever you want of me in your head as I assure you we're even on that.

You have some serious issues Patrick. Did you forget to take your meds today (or any other day for that matter)? LOL

Patrick, since you are going back to individual defining posts (that started it), look at #20. That is where you said you would derail whatever you wanted....blah blah blah. That is when you should have left well enough alone for the thread that was originally meant to acknowledge an awesome E.T. and started another ( I want 1320 back at all costs) thread.

Acting like a pompous ass does not really make anyone want to consider your opinion, let alone respect it. I hear ya about the 1320, I really do. However, when you force your opinion like you have here, I really stop listening to what you have to say whether you make a good point or not.

I found it interesting when Nick Bonnefante spoke on the issue. He said that when they gring the metal to make the disks with, they try to get it all ground the same, but different sizes in the grind change the torque curves dramatically.

You and Tony should go out for a drink.

Because you contradict yourself so much, I'm not even going to give you a decent response back. However I am looking forward to when I get to catch up with my buddy Tony again and have drink. Hopefully at Pomona next year. *hint hint Tony. Make it happen. ;)

I got serious issues, there all people just like yourself who fly off the handle whenever I type something you don't agree with. That's why the Mater's fate is always doomed. People don't know how to accept and move on from an opinion unlike their's

I don't care what the hell you do pal, I moved on a long time ago and I even moved it to a new thread for disrespecting this one and look and the guys that brought it back up. WTF is wrong with you people.
