DANNY ROWE ABLE TO ADVANCE IN POINTS STANDINGS

August 28, 2006 (Norwalk, OH) - Despite stormy weather and numerous rain delays's Danny Rowe was able to help close the Pro Mod points gap during the IHRA Skull Shine World Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio.

Rowe, who is currently in second place, was able to gain ground on the leader Glenn Kerunsky when Kerunsky failed to qualify for the race. Starting from the lucky 13 spot, Rowe was able to gain momentum by going to the semi-finals in competition.

According to Rowe, "Overall it was a pretty good weekend, qualifying was a little bit crazy, but we caught a break with the number we ran. On the last run, the car made just a slight move and it was enough to for him to get by. I don't know if we would have run a .12, but it was still a great race and goes to show the quality and depth of the fields that are showing up at these races."

With the points battle heating-up, Rowe and the Jimmy Rector led team is not surrendering to the pressure. "I feel it all the time," said Rowe. "You can never take it for granted that you are going to make the field. Look at some list of teams that went home, and once you have made the field you look at the ladder and realize that that most of the race could go either way, so it makes for exciting racing."

Danny Rowe and team would like to thank Gainsborough Capitol, NGK Sparkplugs, Hoosier Tires, Redline Oil, and Weld Racing for their continued support.

The next IHRA E-Max Drag Racing Series race is 11th Annual Amalie Oil North American Nationals New England Dragway, Epping, NH Sep. 8-10, 2006.
